The Annual Frost Free Period refers to the anticipated duration, in days, between the final occurrence of freezing temperatures in spring (January to July) and the initial occurrence of freezing temperatures in fall (August to December). This calculation is based on a probability estimation that the values for the standard normal period will be surpassed in 5 out of 10 years.
We selected for areas that have 100 or more of days that are frost free.
